Take a Sunday in the Park Stroll with Tour Marm and Win a Book!

Washington, DC Cherry Blossom Festival 2008 - A Sunday Walk

You might think I'm daft, but I spent my only free day between tours walking around the Tidal Basin, Ellipse, and National Mall taking photos, talking to people, going to church, and visiting the Renwick Gallery's Catlin exhibit.

It was overcast for much of the day, but I think things turned out well.

There is a question embedded with the photos. The first one who can answer it, receives a lovely book on the cherry blossom festival inscribed by the author! (A $20value!)

Cheers!

Thanks for the memories. I remember walking along the Mall with the cherry trees in bloom. Sometimes I miss living in the D.C. area, but mostly I don't.

I think your picture is the front door to Blair House.

I'm glad you've enjoyed the photos. At this writing (April 10th) they're still gorgeous!

It is indeed Blair House!

Congratulations, you've won Cherry Blossom Festival by Ann McClellan inscribed by the author herself.

Please email me at: tourmarm at gmail dot com so I can make arrangements to send you the book.

A great picture of the front door of Blair House, the President's guest house, across from the White House at 1651 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Looking forward to touring this area with you some day. (perhaps like the day in Queens?)

Greetings from Vancouver, BC.
