Elvis made 30 million dollars last year. Pretty good for a corpse. :)

But not as good as Kurt Cobain!

According to Forbes last year, Kurt Cobain earned $50 million to Elvis' $42 million. The third top earning dead celebrity was Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts.

Thanks for your comment on my Graceland TT ! I had never been a fan of the man Elvis I only loved his voice and his songs. I wasn't even interested in his life or what he did. It was after his dead that I read so many things and now after 30 years there are even more about him coming out. I think he was the victim of scrupolous money makers who finally sucked him out to death. As a simple good southern boy who only loved to sing he just couldn't cope with all this circus they did around him and Graceland really shows what he thought rich people would live. It really is some kind of kitsch and child dreams. I felt pity with the man when I got out and I still feel.
